A long years ago in west java, lived a princess named Dayang Sumbi. She has a boy named Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang loved hunting very much.Eang hunt, he always accompanied his beloved dog named Tumang. Trully, Tumang is God's bead and also Sangkuriang's father but Sangkuriang doesn't know because his mother secret it.
One day, Sangkuriang went to forest to hunting some animal. He saw a bird perched in a branch.So he shooted it and right on target. Sangkuriang asked Tumang to catch the prey but Tumang just silent. Sangkuriang became so angry.
At home, he told everything happen to his mother. His mother was so angry. She took a rice's spoon and slapped to Sangkuriang's head. Then, Sangkuriang decided to wandering and left home
After a long years he wandering, he back to his village. He so shoked after he saw his village was change. And he saw a beautiful woman and felt in love with her. Sangkuriang immediatelly proposed to her. Finally, Dayang Sumbi accepted Sangkuriang.
One day, Sangkuriang want to hunting animal in forest. before that, he asked Dayang Sumbi to tightening his head's bond.Dayang Sumbi was so shooked know Sangkuriang is her son.
Dayang Sumbi though how to canceled their wedding. She found the best way. She asked Sangkuriang to dammed Citarum river and make a big boat to cross the river. Both must be don before dawn. If doesn't done, the wedding canceled
Sangkuriang promise to done all before dawn. with his power, he asked his friend from elf to help. But Dayang Sumbi asked the people to make the sky looked became red. So Sangkuriang stopped his job.
With a sense of annoyance and disappointment, Sangkuriang then break down the dam which has made for hisself., then there was flooding and the whole city under water. Sangkuriang also kicked a large canoe which had been made. The canoe glided and fell face down, then became a mountain named Tangkuban Perahu.
